Committed to getting kids and families excited about play in nature and away from sedentary pursuits. By building healthy communities through active neighborhood involvement, fun opportunities are created to engage and inspire play in the parks. We offer fitness and nutrition activities, including exercise programs and community gardens, as well encourage all to explore the outdoors by taking hikes, observe the local wildlife, and learn about the environment with the Urban Wildlife Refuge Partnership. PlayCorps activates parks with free play, art, creative exploration and a free meal through the federal summer meal program. By working in neighborhood parks, Play-Corps ensures that youth are active, safe, and well fed during the summer, thus promoting a healthy lifestyle!
